Good Afternoon St. Stephen Families!
Today our students, faculty, and staff said farewell to the 8th graders who will graduate tomorrow. We are so proud of all their accomplishments and wish them great success in high school. As one chapter of their life comes to end, we know that it also marks the start of a new chapter in their lives.
Students will receive their yearbooks next Thursday. If you still owe the school money at that time, yearbooks, test scores, etc. will be held in the office and report cards will not be released. You may pick them up during summer hours once you have brought your account up to date. Report cards will be emailed either Friday or the following Monday, once they have been finalized.

Talent Show
Thank you for signing up for the 2025 Talent Show! Performers did a great job rehearsing! The Talent Show will be on Wednesday, May 28th, in the FLC at 1:00 pm. Parents and family members are invited to attend. Please bring your costume, props, and everything you need to school on May 28th. You will change into your costume after lunch on that day. After the Talent Show, students will need to go back to their classrooms and be picked up in carline. Thank you for your cooperation. It is going to be an amazing show! MUSTANG SPORTS:
MUSTANG SPORTS: The St. Stephen Sports Awards Night was last night in the FLC. It was a great evening celebrating our student-athletes, coaches, and teams, and all of their accomplishments for the 2024-25 sports year. Thank you to all of the athletes, coaches, and families that attended to make it a special evening. A special Thank You to parent volunteer, Pat McRae, who has coached the girls and boys flag football teams the past seven years. Coach McRae will be moving on as his youngest daughter is graduating 8th grade this year. We truly appreciate his hard work and dedication to the flag football program and student athletes here at St. Stephen the past seven years. His leadership will be missed. THANK YOU Coach McRae!
The St. Stephen Sports Summer Camp Flyers and Registration Links are below. Soccer camp for grades 1-4 is June 23-27, and for grades 5-8, is July 7-11. The deadline for the 1st-4th grade soccer camp is next week on Thursday, May 29. The deadline for the 5th-8th grade soccer camp is Thursday, June 12, to assure camp shirt size. Basketball camp is July 14-18, and volleyball camp is July 21-25. The deadline to register for basketball and volleyball camp in July is Thursday, June 26, to assure the proper camp shirt size. Registrations will be accepted for ALL of the sports camps after the deadlines, but the proper camp shirt size can't be assured.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 14084
Knights of Columbus Council 14084 invite all men of St. Stephen parish to Cor meetings. The name “Cor” is inspired by Saint John Henry Newman’s words, “Consume my heart (“cor”) with that burning fire with which Your Heart is ever inflamed.”
COR offers an opportunity for parish men to increase their heart to heart relationship with Jesus Christ through a brotherhood committed to prayer, formation, fraternity and the mission of evangelization for their families and communities. All meetings include prayer and open discussion while exploring and embracing the rich teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
Meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month from 7:15 to 8:30 PM in the Saint Stephens Room inside the Church.
Young Adult Ministry at SSCC
St. Stephen Parish Community welcomes young adults ages, 18-35 to participate in community, worship, and fellowship. This ministry invites young adults in the area to come together to pray, make connections, and grow in their faith with one another.

Summer Reading Skills Program
The University of South Florida Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education will be offering a series of summer reading skills programs taught by instructors from the Institute of Reading Development. The programs start for 4-year-olds entering Kindergarten and go up to students entering the 12th grade and College. Families can choose between classes offered in Brandon at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church or on campus at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Students entering Middle School, this program will expand vocabulary and learn note-taking, test-taking strategies, leading to better exam scores and higher grades.

Safe Environment Training and Fingerprints
Everyone needs updated safe environment training and fingerprints in order to volunteer in the school or to chaperone a field trip. Safe environment and fingerprints are good for 5 years.
