Girls Track: The girls track team had their first running and relay meet Saturday at Tampa Catholic and all of the Mustangs did a great job. Here are the girls that placed in the top 8 of their event and earned points for the team.

Alannah M. - 4th 100 (15.60) & 2nd 400 (1:22), Francine A. - 5th 100 (16.12) & 3rd 400 (1:23), Gabby H. - 5th 200 (34.02), Arianna G. - 6th 800 (3:34), Natalie L. - 6th Mile (7:31), and 4x400 relay 6th (6:20)
Varsity
Karly L. - 4th 100 (14.68) & 7th 200 (31.31)
The second field event meet was last Thursday at Christ the King. Those results will be announced next week along with the results from the second running and relay meet that is this Saturday at Tampa Catholic from 8:00-11:00.
Boys Flag Football: The boys flag football team beat St. Joseph 20-19 to improve their record to 2 wins and 3 losses. The Mustang offense was led by Steven M. with two touchdown catches and Johnnie B. with a touchdown catch in the last minute of the game to take the lead. QB John Michael R. had all three touchdown passes. Steven M. had two interceptions and Johnnie B. had an interception for the defense. The Mustangs are back on the field today with their last home game of the season against Mother Teresa here at St. Stephen at 4:15. The playoffs start next week with a quarterfinal game on Wednesday. The opponent and game site is still to be determined.
The Sports Banquet is Wednesday, May 10, in the FLC from 5:00-6:30. All student-athletes, coaches, and their families are invited to attend. We will be recognizing the hard work, effort, and accomplishments of all of our student-athletes and volunteer coaches. Pizza, cake, and refreshments will be provided to student-athletes, coaches, and their immediate family members. All student athletes and their families should have received an invitation/RSVP. The RSVP is due to the office by Friday, May 5, so we can get an accurate count for the pizza and cake. Please make sure to turn in the RSVP to the office by Friday, May 5.
